Meeting with President DeGioia
December 1, 2017 – The third cohort of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program sat down for a conversation with Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia in Healy Hall. The fellows discussed their internships and experiences as Wallenberg Fellows. President DeGioia was able to engage with each of the fellows and share stories about his experiences working at Georgetown and his long-standing relationship with the Wallenberg Family.
Meeting with Dean Hellman
October 2, 2017 – The third cohort of Wallenberg Fellows met with Joel Hellman, Dean of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. The Dean had an opportunity to get to know each of the fellows, learn about their experiences as part of the program, hear about their career plans, and discuss the continued development of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program.
Third Cohort Kick-Off Party
May 30, 2017 – The third cohort of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program met for the first time at a kick-off event held at the Stockholm School of Economics. The newest Wallenberg Fellows were joined by Fellows from the previous two cohorts, administrators from Georgetown University and the Stockholm School of Economics, and had an opportunity to meet with Marcus Wallenberg.
Annual Send-Off Party and Reception
December 14, 2016 – A reception was held in The Mortara Center to celebrate the successful completion of the second year of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program and say goodbye to the SSE Fellows before they returned to Stockholm. Dean Hellman and Dr. Moran addressed those in attendance and thanked them for their support of the program. The Fellows also had an opportunity to express their gratitude, and much to the crowd’s delight, provided some festive Swedish singing as the closing act for the academic year.

December 9, 2016 – The second cohort of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program had the opportunity to meet with Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia in the newly opened Thompson Athletic Center. The Fellows discussed their internships and experiences as Wallenberg Fellows, as well their future plans. President DeGioia was able to engage with each of the Fellows, learn more about them, and express his appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the Program.
Meeting with Dean Hellman
November 21, 2016 – Cohort two met with Joel Hellman, Dean of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, to discuss the Wallenberg International Fellows Program. The Dean had an opportunity to get to know each of the Fellows and ask about their internships in the summer and fall, as well as their studies at Georgetown and future plans.
Marcus and Peter Wallenberg Visit Georgetown
May 3, 2016 – The Georgetown University Wallenberg Fellows from the 2015 and 2016 Cohorts had the opportunity to meet with Marcus and Peter Wallenberg during their visit to Washington. The 2015 Fellows shared their experiences from the inaugural year of the program, and the 2016 Fellows talked about their goals and anticipated internships in Stockholm. Marcus and Peter Wallenberg discussed the Wallenberg Foundations, their current work, and their plans for the future. The 2016 Fellows and the Wallenbergs planned to meet once the Fellows were settled into their internships in Stockholm. 
Wallenberg International Fellows Program Send-Off Party
December 15, 2015 – A party was held in Georgetown’s historic Riggs Library to celebrate the successful completion of the first year of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program and say goodbye to the SSE Fellows before they returned to Stockholm.
Meeting with President DeGioia
December 15, 2015 – The Wallenberg Fellows had an opportunity to meet with John DeGioia, President of Georgetown University. During the meeting in his Healy Hall office, the Fellows had a chance to discuss their experiences as part of the Wallenberg International Fellows Program and engage the President in a dialogue about how their time in the program had influenced their future plans.

November 30, 2015 – The Fellows of cohort one met with Joel Hellman, Dean of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, to discuss the Wallenberg International Fellows Program. The Dean had an opportunity to get to know each of the Fellows and ask them about their plans once they had completed the program.
Wallenberg International Fellows Program Kick-Off
May 2015 – A kick-off event to inaugurate the Wallenberg International Fellows Program was held at the Stockholm School of Economics. This gathering provided the Fellows with an opportunity to meet one another for the first time and get to know the leadership from Georgetown and SSE who helped make the program a reality. The Fellows also had the pleasure of meeting Marcus Wallenberg as they prepared to begin their journeys in the program.
